Today a child told me that locals slow their cars down for people and especially for ducks who may be crossing the road. You can tell, he said, that people who don't are not locals.

I agree. It's definitely a city vs country thing.
I totally agree!!! Why just today I got out of my car and moved a turtle off the road.
Very wise. I've noticed a lovely family of ducks near the pond as you drive into Creswick. Mum, Dad and about 8 babies! Hope the cars slow down for them! x
How wonderful, children are amazingly observant creatures, as apposed to how much of an ignorant teenager I am, Wiley always reminds me of how wonderful the 'little things' are :)
